They did all the behind-the-scenes work without needing much direction. Our wedding design and colors were a little out-of-the-box, and at no point did they try to shoehorn our ideas into something more traditional. Instead, they celebrated and helped us realize our dream.”

and having Kate and Jen made a huge difference. Jen was a rock for us, running major interference and keeping our stress levels low leading up to the event. The day was a total dream - they kept everything moving and were efficient and gracious.
Why Elevate Green? Our purpose is to elevate every event we are a part of. And green because we care about sustainability. Much of event design and rentals is about finding out what it is you actually need. This way, no part of your budget goes to waste, and you are able to maximize the full value of our services.
Kate is a celebrated planner and designer in New York City, Connecticut, and beyond. As Green Apple Weddings & Events, she orchestrated over 300 special occasions.
Kate’s introduction to event planning and design surfaced during the writers’ strike in 2007. Kate went from working in theatre and television production to planning weddings. During this time, she planned many events at the Metropolitan Building in Queens surrounded by invaluable antiques. There, Kate found a deep appreciation for furniture and decor with character and a story, fueling the introduction of Elevate Green's recent rental addition.
When Kate's not working, she is taking road trips with her husband, son, dog, and cat, traveling overseas or seeing a show.
For the past decade, Jen has been Kate's right-hand woman at Green Apple Weddings & Events and now at Elevate Green, lending her expertise and dedication to every special celebration. Her passion for wedding planning was ignited when she coordinated her own special day, witnessing firsthand how each element intertwines harmoniously to create something magical. When she's not immersed in event planning, you'll find Jen indulging in the NY Times Wordle or Celebrity Jeopardy with her son.
Brian started with Elevate Green as the muscle behind event logistics, helping Kate when she needed big pieces moved. As a photographer, writer, web developer, and woodworker, Brian quickly took on much more. Brian is the man with a plan when it comes to custom rental pieces and creative problem-solving. He heads up the entire rental division, maintains and refurbishes the vintage pieces, and handles any physical logistics. When Brian isn't working, he is scouring menus to try foods he’s never heard of, frequenting library book sales, or listening to punk rock.
Jen and Kate kept us on schedule and, most importantly, made themselves available every time a question or complication arose. They are unflappable. It has been two weeks since our daughter's wedding, and we are still smiling.
